Measurement, content, backlinks, social, and ongoing optimisation. Five pieces of work that only function in that order, and what Peak Answer does inside each one.
Most tools in this category do one of these five and imply the other four. A content generator writes articles without knowing whether anybody is losing an answer. A rank tracker reports a number without telling you what to do about it. The argument of this product is that the five are one job, and that the order they are listed in is not a presentation choice.
Peak Answer runs simulated browser sessions that ask AI engines the questions your buyers ask, on ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Bing, every week. It reads the answers, records which brands were named, whether you were among them, and every source the engine cited to produce that answer. Alongside it, Search Console data comes in directly, because traditional search has not stopped mattering and the two together say more than either alone.
That produces three things nothing downstream works without: which questions you lose, who wins them instead of you, and which sites the engines are actually reading when they answer. Everything in the four pillars below is addressed at one of those three facts.
It is also the pillar with the least marketing appeal and the most consequence. A content tool can demo well in five minutes; a measurement result takes a week to mean anything. The fourteen-market research on this site is the same engine pointed at a market instead of a brand, which is the clearest illustration of what it does.
Content is generated from the measurement, not from a keyword list. The input is a question you are measurably losing, the sources the engines cited when they answered it, and what those sources covered that you do not. The output is a draft written for both traditional search and answer engines, which you can edit, rewrite, or push straight to your CMS as a draft.
Two deliberate constraints. Nothing publishes without approval. And a new brief that overlaps an existing page is merged into that page rather than written as a second one, because the most common way content programmes fail is by competing with themselves.
Peak Answer never runs automated backlink exchanges or a paid backlink marketplace. What it does instead is give you a ranked list of the sites your buyers and the AI engines actually read, ordered by what the engines already quote for your category, and write the outreach and the submissions for you.
The ranking is the product. Any tool can produce a list of domains; the useful question is which of them an engine has already been observed citing in answers about your category, and that is a measurement rather than a guess. Our own research found content share — the proportion of cited sources that are somebody else’s article rather than a vendor’s own site — running at 100% in nine of fourteen markets. In those markets, being named in other people’s pages is not a supplementary tactic. It is the only mechanism operating.
Peak Answer monitors Reddit, Quora and LinkedIn for posts related to your product and drafts replies for you. The reason is narrow and evidence-based: AI engines cite threads on these platforms heavily, and a genuinely useful answer in a thread is a citable source in a way that a promotional comment is not.
Drafts, again, rather than automated posting. A reply that reads as automated does damage that a backlink does not repair.
Over time the product learns about your product and observes patterns in the measurements, then applies what is working to the next round of recommendations and actions. Articles are checked against their target question three weeks after they go live. Positions are watched for decay and a rewrite is queued when a page slips.
This is the pillar that only exists because the first one does. Without measurement there is nothing to learn from, and “ongoing optimisation” means publishing more.
Run these in a different order and each one degrades into its cheap version. Content without measurement is a keyword tool. Backlinks without measurement is a link list. Social without measurement is posting. The five pillars are not five features that happen to be sold together; four of them are what you do with the answer the first one gives you.
No, and most customers do not start that way. But the order is real: content written without measurement is guesswork, and backlink work without measurement aims at sites the engines may not read. Measurement is the one that has to come first.
An SEO tool tells you where you rank for a keyword. This measures whether an AI engine names you when somebody asks a question, which is a different event with different causes. The two overlap, which is why Search Console data sits alongside the AI measurement rather than being replaced by it.
No. Generated articles sit as drafts until you approve them. The one thing that happens on a schedule without your involvement is the measurement.
Technical fixes can land in days. Content and citations take weeks to months, and anybody promising faster is describing a different market from the one we measured across fourteen niches.
