AEO tracker for 6 AI engines
An AEO tracker asks AI engines the questions your customers ask, then records whether each answer names your brand and which pages it cites. It repeats this on a schedule so you can see whether your mentions are going up or down.
Updated
Check one question for free. Type a question your customers ask and see which brands ChatGPT names.
Free, no card needed. It asks ChatGPT once and shows the brands named in the answer. Tracking over time is the paid part.
What an AEO tracker measures
The table gives each measure, how often it is taken, and the size of change that counts as real in the repeat-run data below.
| Measure | How often | What counts as a real change |
|---|---|---|
| Brand mention rate across 10 questions, 1 run | Every run | About 19 points (19.3). Based on 98,400 comparisons across 82 brands |
| Brand mention rate across 10 questions, averaged over 3 runs | Every 3 runs | About 11 points (11.2). Based on 98,400 comparisons across 82 brands |
| Answers with at least one cited page | Every answer | 805 of 807 answers (99.8%) had cited pages |
| Brands from run 1 that appear again in run 2 | Every repeat run | 51% (142 questions). The other 49% did not come back on the same question |
| Brands named in all 3 runs | Every 3 runs | 19.8% (238 of 1,199 brands named in any of the 3 runs) |
| Cited domains shared between 2 runs | Every repeat run | About 3 in 10 (0.299 average overlap, 185 questions) |
What 807 answers showed
Peak Answer collected 807 ChatGPT answers on 10 Oct 2026: 269 buying questions, each asked 3 separate times. 185 of the questions came from 7 sub-niches plus 2 control niches, and 84 were written to ask for named brands. Then the 3 runs of each question were compared.
The runs often disagreed. Of the brands named in any of the 3 runs for a question, 19.8% (238 of 1,199) were named in all 3. Of the brands named in run 1, 51% were named again in run 2. Two runs of the same question shared about 3 in 10 of their cited domains. A brand's mention rate across 10 questions had to move about 19 points on a single run, or about 11 points on a 3 run average, before it was larger than the run to run noise. 805 of the 807 answers carried cited pages.
These caveats apply. The data is ChatGPT only, collected through DataForSEO's ChatGPT scraper in the US with web search on, so it says nothing direct about the other 5 engines. Brand names were pulled out of the answers with Claude, and some cells have fewer than 10 observations. The numbers describe how the answers behaved. They do not show why.
The same method sits behind the free tools: the AEO checker scores one page, and the AI crawler checker shows whether the engines can read it. The LLM SEO guide has the crawler data.
Weekly AEO tracking
Peak Answer asks your buying questions on ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Microsoft Copilot every week, and the top questions daily. Each question is run more than once to improve the sample size. It saves the raw answers and the cited URLs, so you can read what was measured.
The entry price is $49 a month after a 7 day trial, with all 6 engines on every plan. Start with the free AI visibility audit, or try the AEO checker and the AI crawler checker.
